One of the most important things you can do if you have Lyme is make sure your immune system is up and running 100%. Antibiotics work in two ways; bacteriocidal (they kill the bacteria) and bacteriostatic (kind of a 'stun gun' approach where they disable the bacteria). Regardless of whether they have killed or merely disabled the bacteria, the immune system has to remove the dead or disabled bacteria from the body. After all, you don't want it just circulating around, decomposing and making the body more unhealthy. Think of the immune system as your trash removal system. If it doesn't work, the trash (bacteria) are just going to build up, eventually decay, and cause poor health.
Did you know there is now a new test for Lyme Disease that is reputed to be up to 80% accurate?? It's called a Lyme Culture and it was developed by Dr. Burrascano. It is being introduced slowly and is currently available via only one laboratory. You can read more about it at this link; http://www.lymeneteurope.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3420
